Comments This test will detect Influenza A and B and will differentiate between the two. It will also detect Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), Parainfluenza Virus 1, 2, 3, and 4, Adenovirus, Human Metapneumovirus, and Human Rhinovirus. All new positive results, except Human Rhinovirus, are called. If subtyping for Influenza A is required, please call the laboratory. This test does not distinguish between living and dead virus and should not be used as a test-of-cure.
